Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how NexEats (operated by Nexverse LTD, “NexEats”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data. It covers the NexEats website and customer app, which you use to order food in Algeria, and the NexRider app, which delivery riders use to carry out those deliveries. Where something applies only to customers or only to riders, we say so. By using NexEats or NexRider you agree to this Policy.
1. Who we are
NexEats is a food-ordering and delivery service operated by Nexverse LTD, a company registered in England & Wales under company number 15382362, with registered office at Epic House, G5, 18 Darnall Road, Sheffield, England, S9 5AB. For any privacy question or request, contact us at privacy@nexeats.app.
2. Information we collect
If you are a customer, we collect the following so we can take and deliver your order:
- Account details — your name, email address and phone number.
- Delivery information — the delivery address you enter and, if you allow it, your device location (GPS) to find restaurants near you and locate your delivery point.
- Order information — the items you order, order notes, order history and the restaurants you order from.
- Payment method — orders are paid by cash on delivery. We do not collect or store card or online-payment details, because online payment is not currently offered.
- Device & technical data — app/device identifiers and push-notification tokens used to send you order updates.
If you are a delivery rider using the NexRider app, we collect:
- Rider profile — your name, email address, phone number, the type of vehicle you deliver with, and the restaurant you deliver for. Rider accounts are created by that restaurant; there is no public sign-up.
- Location while delivering — your device’s precise location, including while the app is in the background. This is central to the service and is explained in full in section 6.
- Delivery activity — the deliveries assigned to you, which of them you completed, the times involved and the cash you collected on delivery.
- Availability — whether you are currently online or offline.
- Device & technical data — device identifiers and push-notification tokens used to send you dispatch alerts.
3. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account.
- To process, prepare and deliver your orders, and to keep you updated on their status.
- To show you nearby restaurants and relevant offers.
- To dispatch deliveries to riders, and to show the restaurant and the customer where an order is while it is on its way.
- To let a restaurant manage the riders who deliver for it, and to show riders what they delivered and collected.
- To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- To keep the service secure and prevent fraud or abuse.
- To meet our legal obligations.
4. How we share your information
To fulfil an order we share only what is necessary:
- Restaurants receive your order details and first name so they can prepare it.
- Delivery riders receive your delivery address, phone number and order so they can deliver it.
- Customers and restaurants receive the assigned rider’s name, phone number and live location for the duration of that delivery, so the order can be followed and the rider contacted.
- Service providers process data on our behalf under appropriate safeguards, including:
- Push notifications — Expo and the platform push services (Apple Push Notification service and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging) deliver order-status alerts to your device.
- Maps & location — our map and geocoding provider to display restaurants and confirm delivery locations.
- Hosting & infrastructure — cloud hosting providers that store and process data to run the service.
We do not sell your personal data.
5. Cookies & similar technologies
Our website uses essential cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your language and delivery preferences, and understand how the service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may affect how the service works.
6. Location data
Customers. Location access is optional and only used while you are using the app — for example to find restaurants near you or confirm your delivery pin. You can grant or revoke this permission at any time in your device settings; you can still order by entering your address manually.
Riders. The NexRider app collects your device’s precise location so that the restaurant and the customer can see where their order is. This is the core purpose of the app, and it works as follows:
- It starts only when you go online and a delivery has been assigned to you. Going online alone is not enough; there must be an active delivery.
- It continues while the app is in the background and while your screen is off, so the customer’s map keeps moving while you ride. Your device displays its own ongoing indicator whenever this is happening.
- It stops the moment you go offline or complete the drop-off. We do not collect your location between deliveries, when you are offline, or outside your shift.
- While a delivery is in progress we store your latest position and a trail of positions for that delivery, so that a route can be replayed if a delivery is disputed and so journey times can be measured.
- That trail is deleted automatically after 30 days. We do not keep long-term histories of rider movement.
- You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings. Because a delivery cannot be tracked without it, you will not be able to go online until it is granted again.
Rider location is shared with the restaurant that dispatched the order and with the customer receiving it, for the duration of that delivery only. It is not shared with other customers, other restaurants, or advertisers, and it is not used to monitor riders outside deliveries.
7. Data retention & account deletion
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes and comply with legal obligations.
You can delete your account and personal data at any time:
- On this website — sign in and open your account, then choose Delete my account and confirm.
- In the app — open Account → Delete my account and confirm. This permanently removes your account.
- By email — write to privacy@nexeats.app from your registered address and we will delete your account.
Riders. Rider accounts are created and managed by the restaurant you deliver for, so there is no self-service delete in the NexRider app. Ask that restaurant to deactivate your account, or email privacy@nexeats.app from your registered address and we will action it. Your location trail is deleted on the 30-day cycle described in section 6 either way.
When you delete your account, your profile and contact details are removed. Records of past orders may be retained by the restaurants for their own legal and accounting purposes, but are anonymised so they are no longer linked to you. We may also retain limited information where the law requires it.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email privacy@nexeats.app.
9. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
10. Children
NexEats is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. NexRider is intended for working delivery riders and is not for anyone under 18.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new “Last updated” date, and where appropriate notify you in the app.
